If you haven’t heard of Drunken Logic you are missing out. Period.
Here is generally where I go into what type of genre you can fit a band into, or what type of music that they play; listing multiple genres if they are some sort of blend. To be perfectly honest though, if I were to try to list every genre of music that Drunken Logic fits into; or every type of music you hear in one amazing fusion; I would be writing for days. While bullet point lists are amazing for some things; I’m just not that into them. Don’t worry you’ll get a bullet point of band members, and maybe one with links. I’m not a total sadist.
Drunken Logic is the Indie Brew featured artist because they are fun to listen to. You will want to get up and dance, there is no question about that. Oh, and you’re welcome for your new favorite band.

6 Train Soldier is a Rock/R&B/Funk band out of Bristol, CT. Relatively new to the scene, 6 Train Soldier will quickly catch your attention with funky bass lines, near Hendrix like guitar, smooth vocals, and a sound quality one would expect from a band that has been playing together for many more years.
Original beats will have you up and moving the entire time you are listening; and if this first demo release is signs of what is to come in the future, we should expect great things from them. This band is nothing if not authentic.
6 Train Soldier is comprised of:
- Reno Bonhomme- Vocals
- Craig Polivka- Guitar
- Chuck Peterson- Drums
- Jedd Chlebowski- Bass
Be sure to head on over to their ReverbNation Page to hear the demo that caught my attention ‘Week Ago’ and check out 6 Train Soldier Below with ‘Twisted’

Levon Helm‘s ruff-and-gruff voice and impressive mandolin work are at the heart of The Band‘s version of “Atlantic City.” Check out the “Atlantic City” The Band laid down during a visit to The Late Show:

Brenna Stilwell is a 17 year old dynamo from Arizona, who writes mostly acoustic guitar and piano based Indie style Pop songs. She has a creative sound and her lyrics show a sense of emotion and depth far beyond her years.
Allred is not new to the Indie scene, John Allred has been performing under the name since 2004. If you haven’t heard them yet, you’ve been missing out. John Allred has 7 full length albums under his belt, and has sold over 100,000 records independently worldwide.
After pushing play, I was immediately transported back to the early 90’s; and for good reason. Allred has a sound reminiscent of the 90’s Alternative Rock band the Gin Blossoms, so if you like that type of music, they will easily have you jamming along. Allred consists of:
- John Allred
- Tanner Stevenett
- Trent Davis
- Sheyn Love
Recorded Live At Indie Brew Studios- Jamie Gray And The Brew
This version of Jamie’s original song “90 mph blues” was recorded 7/19/2014 during the 6th annual Artists 4 Life Benefit to support the Children’s Cancer Association’s MusicRx broadcast.
Jamie’s set was over an hour long, and featured a 20 minute solo acoustic opening. This song came a couple songs into the electric portion of the show, featuring the 3 piece band: Jamie playing a vintage 70s Ibanez Musician electric guitar, along Chris Schmidt on Drums and Mr. Butch on bass and backing vocals.
“This was our first time really playing this song together…and you can tell. There’s some rough edges…mostly timing stuff. But there’s also a way cool bass solo that we squeezed out of Butch and a few cool sounds flew out of the old Ibanez as well. She’s been spending way too much time in her case up to now…I think you’ll be seeing more of her soon” ~jg

With an ethereal, dreamlike sound reminiscent of Florence and the Machine; Raya’s impassioned voice with touch your very soul.
Raya’s music contains messages that are much deeper than most of the songs currently on the radio; and because of that Raya brings something new and refreshing to the often cookie cutter image pop genre.
