If you haven’t heard of Drunken Logic you are missing out. Period.
Here is generally where I go into what type of genre you can fit a band into, or what type of music that they play; listing multiple genres if they are some sort of blend. To be perfectly honest though, if I were to try to list every genre of music that Drunken Logic fits into; or every type of music you hear in one amazing fusion; I would be writing for days. While bullet point lists are amazing for some things; I’m just not that into them. Don’t worry you’ll get a bullet point of band members, and maybe one with links. I’m not a total sadist.
Drunken Logic is the Indie Brew featured artist because they are fun to listen to. You will want to get up and dance, there is no question about that. Oh, and you’re welcome for your new favorite band.
Drunken Logic is comprised of
- Jake Cassman – keys, lead vocals
- Austin Wells – electric guitar, vocals
- Ryan Jordan – acoustic/electric guitar, keys, mandolin, vocals
- Alex Trevino – bass guitar, vocals
- Alex McGillivray – drums, vocals
Be sure to check out Drunken Logic at all of the following links, and listen to their song ‘(The Good News Is) Nobody Gives A Damn’ which is my personal favorite. Unfortunately I do not have a video of that handy, so you’ll have to make due with soundcloud to give that one a listen.

On January 26, 1993 the Grateful Dead celebrated Chinese New Year’s at Oakland Coliseum Arena in Oakland, California. Guitarist Carlos Santana, a Bay Area fixture who came up from the ranks at the same time as The Dead, sat in for the post Space/Drums section of the evening’s second set as well as the encore.
Santana, who had sat in with the band a number of times over the years, wound up guesting on “The Other One” > “Stella Blue” > “Turn On Your Lovelight” to end the closing stanza plus the “Gloria” encore. For “Stella Blue,” GD guitarist Bob Weir taught Carlos the chords on the fly. Carlos unleashes a beautiful solo towards the end of the version and an audience member captured fan-shot video of the guest spot. Watch how it went down with soundboard audio thanks to LoloYodel:

Noah Guthrie is a 19 year old Singer Songwriter/Acoustic/Pop artist from Greer, South Carolina. He came into public attention for his cover of LMFAO’s ‘Sexy And I Know It’ when he was only 18. While that cover may have earned him 8 Million YouTube hits in one week and over 21 Million to date, a spot on NBC’s Today Show, The Tonight Show (Jay Leno’s), and airplay on several U.S. and European Radio Stations, I feel that Noah’s original work is worth looking at far closer than any cover he has done.
This is the point where I would normally tell you that Noah the featured artist I selected was ‘Reminiscent’ of this artist or that one, that the voice or the music took me back to when I listened to some musician on some radio back in the day. I tried to make that comparison; I tried to make that connection; but I couldn’t. After spending two hours staring at my screen, racking my brain for just one comparison, I realized something. There is just no comparison for Noah; his sound is everything and nothing. It reminds you of everyone; and no one. In short, Noah Guthrie is completely original; in both composition and vocals.
Noah has a smooth soulful voice that will simply make you melt. You will find yourself lost in the melody, holding on to every word . I’m even willing to bet that after listening to just one song; you will be looking into the rest of his music, be it covers or his amazing original work.

Jasmine Tate is an Alternative/Soul artist coming out of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, she is only 22 years old, yet she still manages to capture the true depth of Soul music like masters of the craft far more experienced.
Jasmine’s amazing vocals will leave you reminiscing about artists such as Tracy Chapman, Lauren Hill, and India Arie; she has roots in Gospel music and the influence can definitely be heard in her voice.
Jasmine’s lyrics are not just about life and love; but also justice, with a higher purpose of bringing attention to things such as human trafficking. She dreams that her music can serve to infuse each person with a sense of hope and a hunger for more in life.
“I want every song to feel like a one-on-one, heart-to-heart moment between the listener and I. That said… I really just want to touch those who are living without color.”
